Kumoricon was a blast, even though the hotel was kind of too small for us, and very confusing.  Had a rad time with ~miaki (https://www.deviantart.com/miaki) and some of her friends.  Missed seeing a lot of people, and wasn't able to do as much cosplay-watching as I usually do, but had overall a great time.  Next year, same time, same place? In other news, tomorrow I have my first day of grad school (eeek!).  In addition to two grad classes, 4 hours of work in the program's press (we're a fully student run publishing press), I'm also going to be working as a grad assistant.  I'll be attending two main sessions of an American studies class, then running three mini session

On a more serious note, with summer nearing its end, and Kumoricon only a week away, I thought I'd do a little project update. So, remember last year, when I was doing like 5 costumes (2 for me, 3 for friends), and would have done more had I had time?  Remember the progress lists, the blood, the sweat, the tears?  Well, I do, and this year is much more low-key.  This is partially because I had a crazy busy year, with grad school looming in the fall, and needed some down-time this summer.  But it's also in a large part due to ~Daciah (https://www.deviantart.com/daciah) having moved away.  She was much of the guiding force last year, and it's been really hard imagining this
